VERKHOVNA RADA OF UKRAINE RESOLUTION
On Military Units in Ukraine

(Vidomosti Verkhovnoyi Rady (VVR) 1991, #38, p. 506)

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine r e s o l v e s that:

1.  All military units dislocated on the territory of the republic shall be subordinated to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. 

2.  The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine shall be set up. 

3.  The Government of Ukraine shall start creating the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Republican Guards, and the Security Detachment for the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers and the National Bank of Ukraine.
