VERKHOVNA RADA OF UKRAINE RESOLUTION
On Protection of Sovereign Property Rights

(Vidomosti Verkhovnoyi Rady (VVR) 1990, #52, p. 649)

Proceeding from the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Ukraine, Article 71 of the Constitution of the Ukrainian SSR, and the Law on Economic Independence of the Ukrainian SSR, and aiming to protect the property of citizens, the people of the republic, the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR r e s o l v e s that:

Prior to enactment of the Law of the Ukrainian SSR on privatization of property:

- Moratorium shall be established on the territory of the republic on any transformation of the form of ownership and owner of the state property initiated or joined by bodies of public authority or administration;

- Issuance and sale of shares of all state companies, organizations, and establishments, located on the territory of Ukraine under any of its agencies subordination, to individuals and corporations located abroad shall be prohibited.
