"On Amendment of the Law of Ukraine "On Application of Special Measures to Imports to Ukraine"

This draft offers to set forth new type of customs duties – special customs duty for imported products. Such duties may be introduced in response to considerable increase of imports that may cause damage to national producer.

These duties shall be introduced on the discrimination-free basis, i.e. not dependently of exporting country but in accordance with results of special investigation performed by Interdepartmental commission on international trade.

Special duties shall be paid by importers of products subject to duty and independently of other obligatory payments.
