"On Amendment of Some Laws of Ukraine"

This draft moves to amend laws of Ukraine "On Customs Tariff of Ukraine" and "On Unified Customs Tariff" envisaging:

• reduction of the privileged rates of import duty on bananas (code of UCCFEA 0803 00) from 20% to 6%, citruses (codes of UCCFEA 0805 10, 0805 20, 0805 30, 0805 40, 0805 90 00 00) from 20% to 5% and raw materials for manufacture of cables and conductors (codes of UCCFEA 3208 10 10 00) and raw materials for manufacture of fiber optic cables (codes of UCCFEA 2712 90 39 20, 3907 99 19 10, 3920 62 19 10, 7212 40 98 10);

• increase of import duty rates for "twist-off" caps (for this item there shall be established a separate code 8309 90 90 10 in UCCFEA): privileged – 19%, full – 30%;

• introduction of ad valorem import duty rates to substitute specific rates on flower products (codes of UCCFEA 0602 30 00 00, 0602 90 91 00, 0602 90 99 00, 0603, 0604 10 10 00, 0604 10 90 00, 0604 99 10 00 and 0604 99 90 00);

• removal of paper and coated board and paper and paperboard of other types from the list of goods exempted from duty.

Besides, this draft envisages specifying other commodity codes, which have not been definitely identified in the Ukrainian Classification of Commodities for Foreign Economic Activity. Namely, such goods are xylite, electro-technical lacquers, raw materials for manufacture of fiber optic cables, "twist-off" caps.
