Draft Law of Ukraine
"On Amendment of the Customs Tariff of Ukraine"
This draft envisages increasing both full and privileged import duty rates for:
- green tea (non-fermented) in packages up to 3 kg (code of the Ukrainian Classification of Commodities for Foreign Economic Activity, UCCFEA 0902 10 00 00) from EURO 0.4 per 1 kg to EURO 1 per 1 kg.
- green tea in filter bags (suggested code of UCCFEA 0902 20 00 20) from EURO 0.4 per 1 kg to EURO 2 per 1 kg.
- other green tea (code of UCCFEA 0902 20 00 90) from EURO 0.4 per 1 kg to EURO 1 per 1 kg.
- black tea (fermented) in packages up to 3 kg (code of UCCFEA 0902 30 00 00) from EURO 0.4 per 1 kg to EURO 1 per 1 kg.
- black tea in filter bags (suggested code of UCCFEA 0902 40 00 20) from EURO 0.4 per 1 kg to EURO 2 per 1 kg.
- other black tea (code of UCCFEA 0902 40 00 90) from EURO 0.4 per 1 kg to EURO 1 per 1 kg.
At the same time import duty rates for tea in packages weighing over 10 kg are proposed to leave unchanged, that is they will be still equal to 0.
The author of the draft believes that the proposed changes will encourage development of tea industry in Ukraine.
