"On Amendment of Some Laws of Ukraine Related to Performance of Concession Activity"

The draft suggests amendments to the Laws of Ukraine "On Concessions" and "On Concession for Construction and Use of Motor Roads".

The draft suggests providing concession for reconstruction of motor roads.

Currently concession may be provided only for construction and use of motor roads.

According to the draft, reconstruction of a motor road – is a complex of road works on reconstructing component parts of a motor road, related to the necessity to improve its technical-economic and transport-use indicators, which shall ensure transfer of the motor road to a higher technical category.

The draft aims at accelerating construction of new and reconstruction of the existing international transport corridors in Ukraine at the expense of non-governmental funds, activating concession activity in the field of construction, reconstruction and use of motor roads.
