"On Amendment of the Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2004"

The draft suggests lowering rates of excise duty for ethyl alcohol, which is used by healthcare institutions and facilities for ensuring treatment and diagnostics and performing laboratory research, as well for ethyl alcohol used by producers – subjects of entrepreneurial activity – for production of medicinal products. Rates of excise duty are to be lowered from UAH 16 per 1 liter of 100% alcohol to UAH 2 per 1 liter of 100% alcohol.

The draft, if approved, will lower prices for medicinal products.
